About Webinar

Efficient system designing and infrastructure development in the chemical industry is a complex and tedious process. Important parameters like chemical reactions, fluid flow, and heat transfer determine major factors in production setup developments. By harnessing digital technologies like COMSOL Multiphysics® software enables seamless coupling of these phenomena in a single model.

The Chemical Reaction Engineering Module and the CFD Module add-ons in COMSOL Multiphysics® are widely used for analyzing reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, multicomponent transport, and reacting flows in chemical reactors, catalysts, sensors, devices for chemical analysis, and related processes.

In this webinar, we will discuss the capabilities of the COMSOL® software for modeling chemical reaction kinetics and reacting flows focusing on the transport and reactions of chemical species for dilute and concentrated solutions in both laminar and turbulent flows, as well as for isothermal and nonisothermal flows.

Key Discussion Points

    • Seamless integration of chemical reactions and transport phenomena using COMSOL Multiphysics®
    • Analyzing reacting flows in chemical reactors and devices with the CFD Modules
    • Modeling chemical species transport in both dilute and concentrated solutions under laminar and turbulent flows
    • Isothermal vs Nonisothermal flow modeling for accurate process predictions and optimization with COMSOL®

We will answer any questions you may have during the presentation or at the end of the session.
